Here we are now, a year and a half later, working on our next Winter campaign. This time around, I decided to do it all in Albuquerque, New Mexico, mostly because creating stuff is a whole lot easier when I am away from the office. Same fun, different challenge.
We are all looking forward to sharing some more Winter lovin’ with you all. In the meantime, here are a few shots taken by Ryan, the Insta boyfriend, during the photo shoot.

Oh hello. It’s been a while! The jewels. The events. The business. The love of Skating. The Shine. The love of Winter… So many things have happened over the last couple of months, I don’t even know where to start! The jewels... The retail industry being such a competitive environment, never in a million years I could have predicted what happened to our jewelry collection. We first started with 5 pieces, then 20, then 100… Next thing you know, 10 months later to be exact, we were running an inventory of X000 pieces a month and as crazy as this can be, it feels like we are only starting to explore our market. The events… Since there’s only 24 hours...
That was a crazy idea. That crazy idea was also the best one I had in a long time. Why so crazy? Because Brilliance & Melrose was already booked on those dates and I didn't really had any time to prepare.
Why so good? Because spending 2 weekends at the market allowed us to learn more about the clients and see the real potential of the brand. As a company, we do want to offer sparkly shows and products, but we also want to reach out to people, skate with them, be approachable.

I had the opportunity to skate a little for the kids of the employees at the Fairmont Le Manoir a few weeks ago. Let's be real, there's nothing like skating for kids.
This event happened 2 days after the fun evening we had at the Hyatt and the Christmas market was also running that same weekend. Busy, busy, but also an amazing opportunity to test the management skills of the business. Done, and done.
